By accessing or using the Youth Connect application ("App") and website ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the Service.
2. Eligibility
The Service is intended for individuals aged 15 and above. Users under 18 must have parental or guardian consent. By using the Service, you represent that you meet these age requirements.
3. User Accounts
To access certain features, you must create an account. You are responsible for:
- Providing accurate and complete registration information
- Maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials
- All activities that occur under your account
- Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized use
4. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
- Harass, bully, or discriminate against other users
- Upload harmful, obscene, or offensive content
- Attempt to hack, reverse-engineer, or compromise the Service

5. Pesa Module & Financial Services
The Pesa module provides financial literacy content, marketplace access, and micro-loan facilities. Please note:
- Micro-loans are subject to eligibility criteria and approval
- Loan repayments must be made within the agreed period
- Youth Connect is not a licensed financial institution — financial services are facilitated through authorized partners
- Investment and business advice is educational and should not replace professional counsel
6. Soma Module & Courses
Courses and educational materials are provided as-is. Certificates earned through the platform are issued by Youth Connect and may not be equivalent to accredited academic qualifications.
7. Intellectual Property
All content, graphics, logos, and software associated with the Service are the property of Youth Connect or its licensors. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without explicit permission.
8. User-Generated Content
By posting content (messages, posts, images) on the platform, you grant Youth Connect a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, display, and distribute your content within the Service. You retain ownership of your content.
9. Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time if you violate these Terms or engage in behavior harmful to the community. You may delete your account at any time through the app settings.
10. Disclaimers
The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. Youth Connect does not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Youth Connect shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service.
12. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with a revised "Last updated" date. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
13. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Kenya. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Kenya.
